My friend and old college roommate Ryan Smith posted a very enlightening quip on Facebook the other day. So enlightening in fact, that I feel obligated to post it here to my seven readers (okay, five). I find it humorous that with the recent volatility in the markets, many RIA's and Financial Advisors are telling their clients "it will bounce back". Isn't that an implied guarantee of future returns? Past results do not guarantee future gains! If your advisor tells you this ask for it in writing!
